The Research On The Tcm Constitution And Correlative Factors Of Postoperative Nausea And Vomiting Following Gynecologic Laparoscopic Procedures

Object i vesTo research the incidence rate, correlative factors and TCM constitution characteristic of postoperative nausea and vomiting (PONV) following gynecologic laparoscopic procedures. To find out the risk constitution of PONV and suggest the treatment of reducing the chances of PONV under the Chinese medical intervention.MethodsAccording to the CONSTITUTIONAL TYPES SURVEY SCALE&GENERAL CONDITION QUESTIONAIRE, the450participants of PONV following gynecologic laparoscopic procedures were investigated. The incidence rate, correlative factors and TCM constitution characteristic of PONV were analyzed through statistics. And the risk constitution of PONV were found out.Result1. There were525patients underwent gynecologic laparoscopic pro-cedures in study period and450qualified cases were entered into analysis eventually. There were177patients developed PONV within24hours following surgery, and the incidence rate of which was39.3%.2. The incendence of PONV in different groups was between39percent and43percent by using "the risk score with four predictors" of Apfel. If both with Qi-deficiency, the incendence of PONV would be between48percent and56percent.3.The patients’of PONV took higher proportion of three constitutional types, that were Qi-deficiency, Yang-deficiency and blood stasis.4. PONV was associated with height, weight,operation duration, previous history of PONV,Qi-deficiency, Yang-deficiency and Mild physical through correlation analysis. 5. Logistic regression identified operation duration,previous history of PONV, weight, Qi-deficiency, Qi-depression and Mild physical (P<0.05). Of which, long operation duration, previous history of PONV, lighter weight and Qi-deficiency were the risk factors for PONV occuring, while the last two were less likely to occur PONV.Conclusion1.Long operation duration, previous history of PONV, lighter weight and Qi-deficiency were the risk factors for PONV occuring. We can reduce the chances of PONV throuth the measures following:take preventative measures for the high risk group, find balance of the physical situation, shorten the operation duration, etc.2. In the prediction of Chinese’s incendence of PONV by using "the risk score with four predictors" of Apfel,a bias is existed. While conbining with TCM constitutional survey, the accuracy of the prediction will be increased.
