Measurement data were compared using t test (heterogeneity of variance using t’test or rank sum test).Results1. Before treatment, there was no statistical differences between the twogroup in gender, age, disease duration, education level, past treatment history, Traditional Chinese Medicine type, PSQI and HAMD score before the treatment (P>0.05)2. Within groups comparing:The HAMD scores of treatment group before treatment, the fourth week, at the end of treatment and one month after treatment were:15.20±2.19,11.89±2.12,8.86±1.78,8.02±1.49; PSQI scores were26.68±3.78,17.01±4.18,11.89±4.02,11.99±4.28; Both the HAMD scores and PSQI scores decreased the fourth week, at the end of treatment and one month after treatment, there were statistically significant difference than those before treatment (P <0.05).The HAMD scores of control group before treatment, the fourth week, at the end of treatment and one month after treatment were were:14.79±2.34,13.37±2.00,11.30±1.78,12.01±1.86; PSQI scores were27.92±4.01,23.08±4.19,19.79±4.67,20.27±4.09; there was statistically difference at the end of treatment than that before treatment(P<0.05), and there were no differences at the fourth week, one month follow-up comparing with that before treatment(P>0.05).3. Between group comparing:①The HAMD scores of treatment group at the fourth week, at the end of treatment and one month follow-up were11.89±2.12,8.86±1.78,8.02±1.49, the control group were13.37±2.00,11.30±1.78,12.01±1.86. there were statistically significant differences between two groups(P<0.05). The PSQI scores of treatment group at the fourth week, at the end of treatment and one month follow-up were was17.01±4.18,11.89±4.02,11.99±4.28, the control group were23.08±4.19,19.79±4.67,20.27±4.09. There were statistically significant differences between two groups(P<0.05).②Effective rate of treatment group before the course, at the fourth week, at the end of the treatment, and one month follow-up were:82.4%、91.2%、82.4%; The control group was59.4%、62.5%、56.2%. there were significant differences between them (P<0.05)4.Safety evaluation Adverse events did not appear at the treatment group. There was a patient in the control group felt excruciating pain and acupuncture quit the study.ConelusionBoth of the groups have precise effect on treating insomnia caused by depression.
