ObjectiveTo investigate the effect of the retrograde intrarenal surgery (RIRS) for renalcalculi, combined with Percutaneous Nephrolithotripsy(PCNL).MaterialFrom Jan2013to Aug2013,145patients were diagnosed as renal calculus. Asum of53patients received RIRS, meanwhile,92others received PCNL. The clinicaldata was collected afterwards, including the operation time, blood loss, stone-free rateand preoperative complications.etc, were analized.ResultThe stone-free rate of small stones (Diameter≤20mm) is of no differencebetween the two groups (RIRS vs PCNL, P>0.05). The difference is significant sincethe stone size>20mm(P<0.05). However, the blood loss and operation time showedstatistically different (P<0.05).ConclusionRIRS combined with holmium laser lithotripsy is an effective and safe choice forrenal calculus whose diameter≤20mm. PCNL is good at the renal calculus, especiallywhose diameters are larger than20mm. While the PCNL is effective and safe as well.In addition, regardless the size of calculus, RIRS is an effective and tolerated method in special patients with anomalous kidney, coagulation disorders, kidney dysfunction, and failed puncture. |
