Objective:To implant Y-shaped single plugged airway covered stent andL-shaped branch integration airway covered stent to treat the bronchopleural fistulawhich bronchial stump is very short. To compare the efficacy of the bronchopleuralfistula, overall complications and complication such as pain, sputum retention, kakesthesia. Methods:Retrospective analysis of the treatment of bronchopleural fistula comefrom the patient of our department, which is applied different treatment of47casesbronchopleural fistula from January2009to October2013.According to the differenttreatment of bronchopleural fistula all the47cases were divided into twogroups:Y-shaped stent group with implanting Y-shaped single plugged airway coveredstent to treat bronchopleural fistula include26cases,accounting for55.3%;L-shapedstent group with implanting L-shaped branch integration airway covered stent to totreat bronchopleural fistula include21cases,accounting for44.7%. The efficient ofbronchopleural fistula and the incidence of complications between two group applications X2test,while between groups compared by SPSS17.0Software.Result:Y-shaped stent group total total efficiency is69.2%;L-shaped stent grouptotal efficiency is71.4%; and there is no significant difference between the twogroups (p=0.870, p>0.05).Y-shaped stent group overall incidence of complicationsis84.6%, L-shaped stent patients overall complication rate was85.7%, no significantdifference between the two groups (p=0.916, p>0.05).Patients in Y-shaped stentgroup in with sputum retention complication rate is42.3%, in patients withL-shaped group sputum retention complication rate is14.3%, the two groups hadsignificant difference (p=0.037, p <0.05).Conclusion:For the patients whose bronchial stump was short,we can use bothY-shaped single plugged airway covered stent and L-shaped branch integrationairway covered stent to block. In the overall efficiency and overall complication ratesthe two stent have no statistically significant difference.Compared with the patients with the L-shaped branch integration airway coveredstent, the patient with the Y-shaped single plugged airway covered stent list morelikely sputum retention of this stent-related complications.
