Objective:Research on the mechanism of lymph nodes metastasis and clinical significance of VEGF-C, VEGFR-3, LVD in colorectal cancer. Methods:A random number table110cases were divided averagely into two groups:55cases of colorectal cancer tissue group and55cases of adjacent tissues group. Besides,30cases were selected as the healthy control group. Implementation SP immunohistochemical assay were used to detect the expression of VEGF-C and VEGFR-3next to colorectal cancer tissue and cancer tissue, lymphatic endothelial cells using specific antibody D2-40labeled lymphatic vessels, lymphatic vessel density calculated (LVD), combined with clinical and pathological data were statistically analyzed. The results:VEGF-C positive expression rate in colorectal cancer tissue group was65.5%, and there was a significant difference (P<0.05) compared with the fact that in adjacent tissues group it was30.9%and26.7%in the healthy control group. VEGFR-3positive expression rate in colorectal cancer tissues was61.8%, and there was significant difference (P<0.01) compared with the fact that it was21.8%in adjacent tissues group and16.7%in the healthy control group. When VEGF-C was positive, LVD of colorectal cancer tissues was26.01±13.29; When VEGF-C was negative, LVD of colorectal cancer tissues was15.92±10.37, so the difference was statistically significant (P<0.01). When VEGF-C was positive, LVD of adjacent tissues was18.11±10.01; When VEGF-C was negative, LVD of adjacent tissues was12.25±5.79, so the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). When VEGFR-3was positive, LVD of colorectal cancer tissues was25.64±13.66; When VEGFR-3was negative, LVD of colorectal cancer tissues was14.73±9.18, so the difference was significant (P<0.01). When VEGFR-3was positive, LVD of adjacent tissues was18.22±9.90; When VEGFR-3was negative, LVD of adjacent tissues was11.01±4.55, so the difference was statistically significant (P<0.05). Colorectal cancer tissue in patients with lymph node metastasis in lymphatic vessel density (LVD) was29.22±10.08, colorectal cancer tissues of patients without lymph node metastasis in lymphatic vessel density (LVD) was13.08±7.53, so there was significant difference (P<0.01) when they were compared. LVD of adjacent tissues in patients with lymph node metastasis was21.05±7.07, while in patients without lymph node metastasis it was10.01±3.55, so there was significant difference (P <0.01) when they were compared. Conclusion:The results of this study indicated that VEGF-C, VEGFR-3protein expression in colorectal cancer tissue and lymphatic vessel density (LVD) showed an increasing trend, which had close ties with lymph node metastasis.
