| Objective:To investigate the efficiency and safety of Medtronic3830lead with C315sheath in right ventricular septum pacing compared with Medtronic5076lead.Methods:314patients who need implantation of pacemaker in the Second Xiangya Hospital of Central South University were randomly divided into two groups depending on the active fixation electrodes applied in the right ventricular septal. One group (n=142) used Medtronic3830lead with C315sheath and the other group (n=172) used5076lead as the right ventricular septal pacing lead. The parameters of two groups including expose time and radiation dosage, pacing threshold, sensation and impedance of right ventricular, changes of QRS duration between before and after procedure, complications such as lead dislocation, pericardial effusion, subclavian vein thrombosis and pocket infection and so on were recorded during procedure and7days,1month and3months after procedure and then compared accordingly.Results:1. Expose time in3830lead group was significantly shorter than5076lead group (323.1±88.4vs.601.2±254.3, P<0.01), and radiation dosage in3830lead group was less than5076lead group (49.8±10.7vs.87.4±16.3,P<0.01).2. No differences were observed in changes of QRS duration between before and after procedure (30.2±9.2vs.30.7±9.4, P=0.64).3. Parameters of pacing threshold, sensation and impedance of right ventricular during procedure and7days,1month and3months after procedure were similar between the two groups (P>0.05)4. Lead dislocation in procedure occurred in none patient in3830lead group and6patients in5076lead group. The differences were not significant (P=0.20). No other complications such as lead dislocation, pericardial effusion, subclavian vein thrombosis and pocket infection were found in both group. |
