Abstract/Summary:
Objective: To evaluate the effect of high intensity focusedultrasound(HIFU) treatment of adenomyosis.Methods:46cases of uterine adenomyosis patients were treated withHIFU and the tumor therapeutic system of the HIFU model JC.All womenwere given following-up at1,3and6months after treatment. The clinicalsymptoms, ultrasound and magnetic resonance images(MRI) images werecompared before and after the HIFU treatment.Results:1,3and6months after HIFU treatment, increased menstrualflow in patients with symptomatic remission rates were25cases (54.3%),30cases (71.4%),30cases (76.9%); dysmenorrhea remission rates were26cases (56.5%),28cases (66.6%),28cases (71.8%).1,3and6months aftertreatment, radiographic examination showed adenomyosis ablation lesionreducing blood supply before and uterine adenomyosis lesion wassignificantly reduced compared with the treatment, the difference wassignificant (P<0.05). After treatment, ultrasound imaging showedadenomyosis lesion necrosis was51%to95%, with an average of78%, ofwhich more than90%necrosis of adenomyosis lesions accounted for21.7%,75.0%above the rate of necrosis adenomyosis lesions accounted for71.7%. All patients had no serious complications. Conclusions:The treatment of adenomyosis with HIFU is effectiveand safe.
