| Objective:T o investigate the safety, feasibility and clinical results ofPercutaneous endoscopic spine surgery focal debridement and persistentlocal drainage in the treatment of lumbar tuberculosis. Methods:The study involved15lumbar tuberculosis patients. All thepatients were operated under intravenous anesthesia using PESS to focaldebridement, then placing lavage tube in source lesion, using persistent localdrainage with Isoniazid after the operations. The persistent local drainageand local chemotherapy time is12~18d.ESR and ODI were recorded beforeand after the operations. In addition,MRI or CT examination was conductedat postoperative1month,3months and12months.After datacollection,single-factor t test with SPPS software was performed.Outcomeswere evaluated according to Auxiliary examinations and the results of dataanalysis. Results: All the patients tolerated the procedure without specialcomplaints, and all of the cases were smooth during the operation. There isone case in which the drainage tube dropped out,and accepted another operation. The follow-up of15to24months.score.ESR and ODI presentedimprovement at postoperative1,3,6,12and18months(P<0.05).Atthe final follow-u p,all patients had evidence of clinical heal. Conclusion:Treatment of lumbar tuberculosis using Percutaneousendoscopic spine surgery focal debridement and persistent local drainagehas the merits of small woundã€less bleedingã€lowcostã€early recoveryand good curative effect, and it is a optional method for cases with no severespinal deformity and nerve function dificit. |
