0bjective:Explore the relationship between TCM knowledge, beliefs/attitudes andpractice among community residents. Summarizes the existing problem ofKABP among community residents in Chongqing, and gives relevantsuggestions.Methods:In-depth interviews were carried out with5purposively selectedpersons, including TCM experts and social medicine and health servicemanagement experts. Send questionnaires to the community residents wholiving in Nan’an District, Jiangjin District, Qianjiang district and Dianjiangdistrict.2000questionnaires for community residents, effectivequestionnaires are1704. TCM and Western medical personnel are556, andall results have been statistically analyzed. Research results:1This paper studied and analyzed results from other researches both athome and abroad.2This paper investigated current status of KABP theory amongcommunity residents in Chongqing city, and found out the existingproblems.3TCM knowledge factors, beliefs factors, practice factors andthe factors of choosing a doctor which influence on Chongqing communityresidents and medical personnel.4This paper confirmed that KABP theoryis also established in TCM, a progressive relationship between knowledge,beliefs/attitudes and practice.Conclusions and policy recommendations:At present, the knowledge of TCM among Chongqing communityresidents is good, but there are still some problems, the implementation ofTCM behavior is not very ideal, my study suggested that:1)Continuing topromote TCM knowledge and culture.2)improve the intention ofcommunity residents which performing TCM health behavior.3)to expandthe reimbursement of TCM in the basic medicine, further increasing theenthusiasm of community residents with TCM therapy.
