Objective:The cognitive function of the senile bone metabolism depression patients between the different TCM syndrome types.Methods:Collecting172patients whom is older than60years old in the wards of geriatrics division in Nanjing Durm Tower Hospital geriatrics from Decembe2012to December2013,which includes126senile bone metabolism depression patients and46patients without senile bone metabolism depression.The group of the senile bone metabolism depression is grouped deficiency of spleen-kidney syndrome group、obstruction by phlegm-blood stasis syndrome group and deficiency of liver-kidney syndrome group by the Traditional Chinese Medicine. All the patients are graded by neuropsychological assessment scale includes MMSE、 MoCA、ADL、FAQ, and their height、weight%abdominal perimeter and BMI are measured. Using dual energy X-ray absorptiometry measures all patients with lumbar and hip bone mineral density.Meanwhile detecting biochemical markers of bone metabolism,plasma homocysteine (HCY) and neuron specific enolase (NSE).Comparing bone mineral density、biochemical markers of bone metabolism、liver and kidney function、blood pressure、blood fat and neuropsychological assessment scale among each group.Results:A、The comprison with the elder with osteopenia and the group of the control group1、There is no difference of the age%weigh、abdominal perimeter、blood pressure、blood fat and liver-kidney function between the group of the elder with osteopenia and the group of the elder without osteopenia (p>0.05); Compared with the group of the elder without osteopenia, the level of weight、BMI in the group of the osteopenia are decreased(p<0.05).2、There are significant differences of iPTH、β-CTX、TPINP in two groups,the group of the elder with osteopenia are higher than that of the control group(p<0.05).3、There are significant differences of HCY、NSE、 ADL、FAQ、MMSE、MoCA in two groups,HCY、NSE、ADL、FAQ of the group of the elder with osteopenia are higher than that of the control group(p<0.05),while MMSE、MoCA are lower than that of the control group(p<0.05). B、The comprison with deficiency of spleen-kidney syndrome group and obstruction by phlegm-blood stasis syndrome group of the elder with osteopenia1、There is no difference of the age、height、weight、abdominal perimeter、BMI、blood pressure、 blood fat and liver-kidney function between the two groups (p>0.05).2、Compared with the group of obstruction by phlegm-blood stasis syndrome group,the lumbar and femoral shaft, trochanter,all bone mineral density of deficiency of spleen-kidney syndrome group,there is significant difference are decreased(p<0.05).There are significant differences of iPTH in two groups,deficiency of spleen-kidney syndrome group are higher than that of the obstruction by phlegm-blood stasis syndrome group(p<0.05),while there is no difference of β-CTX、TPINP between the two groups (p>0.05).3、There are significant differences of HCY、NSE、ADL、 FAQ、MMSE、MoCA in two groups,MMSE、MoCA of deficiency of spleen-kidney syndrome group are lower than that of the obstruction by phlegm-blood stasis syndrome group(p<0.05),while HCY、NSE、ADL、FAQ are higher than that of the latter(p<0.05).Preliminary summary:1、The elderly population, the cognitive function of osteopenia patients declined more significantly than the patients without osteopenia.2、The patients with osteopenia as sees take the deficiency of spleen-kidney syndrome group、obstruction by phlegm-blood stasis syndrome group. Compared with the group of obstruction by phlegm-blood stasis syndrome group,the BMD and cognitive function of spleen-kidney syndrome group,there is significant difference are decreased.
