Objective To research the time-related law of the shape and function on the different agegroups of normal women’s levator ani muscle with MRI imaging technology andknowledge of anatomy, and to establish3d-reconstruction model in order to show thestereo configuration intuitively. To compare indicatoers of the patients with pelvic floordysfunction and research the changes of anatomical form and function.Method1) The research on the law of the changes over time of the anatomy formregulation in the normal females’s levator ani muscle: Normal(or had no huge pelviclesions at least) female76cases, according to different age groups,20~30years old12cases,30~40years old had17cases,40~50years old had17cases,50~60years oldhad20cases,above60years old had10cases. Using GE3.0T MR scanner and therequired post-processing software. Observed each part of normal levator ani muscle, measure the muscle hiatal width(LHW)、ilium PC muscles thickness(ICT)、ilium PCmuscles angle(ICA)、levator ani muscle plate angle(LPA). Using SPSS15.0to treat all thestatistics, analysis the changes’ trend of the indicatoers.2) The characteristics andfunctions of levator ani muscle in patients who had pelvic floor dysfunction: Thepatients with pelvic floor dysfunction had been scanned dynamically and statically.Compared the differents in terms of the levator ani muscle hiatal width(LHW)、ilium PCmuscles thickness(ICT)、 ilium PC muscles angle(ICA)、 levator ani muscle plateangle(LPA) based on the original image.3) MRI3d-reconstruction of normal female’slevator ani muscle: Imported the image into the mapping software, and builted3d model.Observed the form and adjacent muscles.Results1) The research on the law of the changes over time of the anatomy formregulation in the normal females’s levator ani muscle: Along with the growed of the age, muscles became thinner or even disconnected, the levator ani muscle plate angle wassmaller or almost disappeared, the levator ani muscle hiatal width was bigger when the agegrowed, et al. Such all this degenerations of levator ani muscle could reduced thesupporting function of the muscle, and finaly caused the pelvic floor dysfunction or evenpelvic organ prolapse.2) The characteristics and function of levator ani muscle in patientswith pelvic floor dysfunction: The levator ani muscle hiatal width(LHW) of PDF group was significantly wider than the control group; The ilium PC muscles thickness(ICT) of thecontrol group was thicker than PDF group in both dynamic and static, the results hadstatistical significance(P<0.05);After the biggest abdominal pressure, the ilium PCmuscles angle(ICA)and levator ani muscle plate angle(LPA) of PDF group were bothsignificantly lager than control group(P<0.05);The angle of PDF group also hadsignificantly changes before and after maximum abdominal pressure(P<0.05).3) MRI3d-reconstruction of normal female’s levator ani: Observed the aged-related changes ofeach indicators intuitively based on the establishment of3d-dimensional model of femalepelvic floor muscles, for example, the muscle became thinner, the levator ani musclehiatal width became bigger, and the recede of the pelvic muscles’ elasticity and holdingpower, etc. Conclusion MRI imaging can not only display the normal shape and pathologicalmorphology of levator ani muscle, but can also evaluate the function of the muscle changesby dynamic observation. In addition, the3d technology broke the limits of2d-image, couldpresent the3d shapes of pelvic muscles clearly and intuitively.
