Objective Prospective comparative study to compare the clinical results ofarthroscopic single and double bundle ACLs reconstructions. Methods From March2010to October2012,43patients with anterior cruciate ligamenttear were divided into two groups. In the first group, the anterior cruciate ligament wereanatomical reconstructed with double bundle Allogeneic pretibial tendons, and in the secondgroup the anterior cruciate ligaments were Anterior Medical anatomical reconstrucated withsingle bundle Allogeneic pretibial tendons. There were22patients(16males and6females)in single bundle group, with an average age of (27.16±4.01)years;sport injury in7cases,15cases of traffic injuries,21patients(15males and6females) in double bundlegroup, with an average age of(28.04±3.57)years, sport injury in5case,16cases of trafficinjuries.Therapeutic effects between two groups were compared according to theIKDC,Lysholm scoring standards and Lachman test, knee pivot shift test,KT-1000.Therewas a result of compared the differences between the two groups in the time taking surgeryand medical expenses. Results After12months of follow-up,single and double bundle reconstruction grouphad20cases last for a complete follow-up and lost three cases. The IKDC score of patients insingle bundle group improved from preoperative (40.26±3.47) scores to postoperatively(87.80±4.83) scores,Lysholm score increased from preoperative (49.71±6.30) scores topostoperatively (94.75±2.27) scores. And the IKDC score of patients in double bundlegroup improved from preoperative (41.66±3.01) scores to postoperatively (83.30±14.60)scores,Lysholm score increased from preoperative (49.12±6.17) scores to postoperatively(94.65±2.96) scores.there was no statistically significant difference between the two groups.the Lachman test was positive in5patients (2patients in double-bundle group and3patients in single-bundle group);and pivot shift test was positive in4patients (3patients insingle-bundle group and1patient in double-bundle group);KT-1000of patients insingle-bundle group was (1.85±1.70) mm,and (1.74±1.60)mm in double-bundlegroup.There was no statistically significant differences between the two groups. In addition,double-bundle reconstruction surgery group which take time and medical costs weresignificantly increased compared to single-bundle reconstruction group, the differences werestatistically significant difference between the two groups. Conclusions Arthroscopic single bundle reconstruction and double bundle anteriorcruciate ligament reconstruction have no significant differences in clinical effects....
