Objective:Retrospectively study the initial symptom, clinical manifestation, laboratory data, image features and treatments, etc, of the CNS impairments inPrimary Sjogren’s Syndrome (pSS).Methods:Comparatively analyze clinical symptoms, imaging features, laboratorydata, demographic and treatment of32CNS involvement cases, whith is selected from447cases of pSS among hospital patients from2007, Jan to2014, Jan.Results:CNS involvement was detected in32(7.16%) patients, including9(28.1%)Multiple sclerosis type,11(34.4%) diffuse type,12(37.5%) focal type. Amongthese, the first symptoms of18(56.3%) patients is the CNS symptom, whose onsetage i(s50.0±11.1)years old.MRI shows demyelinating lesions in the periventricular, oval foramen, sub-cortical, cervical and thoracic cord. Accordingto statistic analysis, the relevant factors of the CNS involvement include the lesion ofpulmonary, hyperimmunoglobulinemia, and thyroid dysfunction. Conclusion:The CNS impairment in Primary Sjogren’s Syndrome (pSS)is a kind of autoimmune diseases. Due to the diversity of the lesion parts, clinicalsymptoms of the CNS involvement are diverse, and often appear before the symptomsof dry. Images in clinical medicine show the characteristics of multiple levels, themultifocal, the nonspecific. Considering the relevant factors of CNS involvement:lesion of pulmonary, hyperimmunoglobulinemia, and thyroid dysfunction.
