Anatomical computational phantoms play an important role in the evaluation of thedose distributions resulting from occupational and medical exposures. In this thesis, theChinese reference adult male whole-body surface model, called CRAM_S wasdeveloped. After that, a few efforts were made on the deformation technology andapplication of the surface model, such as the posture-dependent phantoms and thepatient-dependent phantoms. At the same time, research on the deformation technologyand application of the voxel model was also introduced.The main results are as follows:(1)After some research on way to construct a radiation protection surface model,throught the polygon mesh (PM) model, this thesis succeeded in transforming theChinese reference adult male whole-body voxel model, CRAM, to the relevant surfacemodel CRAM_S. Before the voxelize process, CRAM_S consists of62PM organs andtissues, and after the voxelize process,108different organs and tissues can be found inthe voxelized CRAM_S model. The height of CRAM_S is170cm and the weight is63kg, and this is in accordance with the latest Chinese Standard. Better than CRAM, mostdeviations of the organ masss between CRAM_S and Chinese Standard are below2%.Besides the standard optimization process of CRAM, the thesis reconstructed theanatomy reliable colon and small intestine model to replace the confused parts inCRAM.(2)With CRAM_S model, research on the deformation technology andapplication of surface model was presented. This thesis offered a way to transform thestand surface model to the sit model, and the sit CRAM_S phantom—CRAM_Ssit, wasconstructed from the CRAM_S model.(3) Based on the CRAM_Ssit phantom, the thesis developed the sitpatient-dependent phantoms. Under the height of170cm,12different patient-denendentphantoms library with different weight were successful constructed. The thesis alsogives7groups (a totel of84) of patient-dependent phantoms with different height andintroduced the common and extended usage of the patient-denendent phantoms library.(4)In the last part, some efforts were made on the deformation technology and application of the voxel model. This thesis proposes a new method to automaticallyadjust the organs of voxel phantoms, and a program has been developed to implementthis method. Based on the voxel model CRAM,5adult male voxel phantoms ofdifferent ages (CRAM20~60) were developed. The absorbed organ doses for thesephantoms were simulated with Monte Carlo code and compared with each other. Theresult shows that the absorbed organ doses have different relationship with ages fordifferent organs.
