Part 1 Relevant study of the Growth and Development of children born of Assisted Reproductive Technology Objective: To discuss the neonates born after assisted reproductive technology(ART) and the newborn after natural conception about intrauterine growth situation, neonatal complications and maternal complications, and then to find out the related factors assotiate to the low birth weight of offspring born from affiliated reproductive technology. Methods 287 live-born and gestational age not less than 28 weeks babies(ART group) in the first affiliated hospital of Zhengzhou university and 287 live-born babies(Naturally conceived group) who were randomly chosen from the same hospital matched for the time and seas on of birth were studied from August 2012 to August 2014. Then compared two groups of mum’s name, age, education, residence, the mode of conception, pregnancy outcomes, delivery time, pregnant weeks, delivery mode, reproductive history, menstrual history, family history, complications in early pregnancy, birth-related complications, the number of the neonates, the gender, the birth weight, the head circumference and the height of the babies in the EXCEL database. All statistical analyses were performed with statistical software SPSS17.0, applied t test about measuring data and chi-square test, dates which were normally distributed were showed as mean±standard deviation( x ±s), P<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Result: 1.The comparison about ART group and natural conceived group in the maternal age, educational background, location, production history, threatened abortion history and menstruation: ART group of maternal average age was higher than that of NC group, and the rate of first birth, low education, living in rural areas, irregular menstruation and threatened abortion are all higher than that of NC group, and the difference between the two groups were statistically significant( P<0.05); 2.The comparison about ART group and natural conceived group in the offspring’s birth weight, head circumference, height and the rate of gender: ART group average infants average birth weight, head circumference, height are lower than that of NC group, and the differences were statistically significant( P<0.05); but the difference between the two groups in the rate of gender was not statistically significant( P>0.05). 3.The comparison about ART group and natural conceived group in the offspring’s birth weight, head circumference, height after removed the multiple births factor: ART group term and preterm offspring average birth weight and height are lower than that of NC group( P<0.05), but head circumference difference was not statistically significant( P﹥0.05). 4.The comparison about ART group and natural conceived group in the multiple pregnancies, cesarean section rate and preterm: ART group: multiple pregnancy rate(65.3%), reterm rate(63.41%), cesarean section rate(90.94%) all higher than naturally conceived group(4.6%, 24.39%, 77.35%), difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P<0.05). ART group preterm rate(68.55%) also higher than NC group(25.95%) after removed the multiple births neonates(P<0.05). 5.The comparison about ART group and natural conceived group in pregnancy complications and perinatal complications: difference between the two groups were statistically significant(P<0.05). Conclusions: 1.The rate of multiple pregnancies, cesarean section and preterm in ART group are more than that in natural conceived group. 2.ART group average infants average birth weight, head circumference, height are lower than that of NC group. After removed the multiple births factor. Preterm offspring and term offspring of ART group average birth weight and height are lower than that of NC group, but the head circumference have no difference between two group. 3.ART group of maternal irregular menstruation, threatened abortion rate of pregnancy complications and perinatal complications are all higher than that of NC group.Part 2 Study on the Risk Factors about the Low Birth Weight Infants from Assisted Reproductive Technology Objective: To investigate the risk factors of assisted reproductive technology(ART)on the low birth weight of the infants, and finally provide guidance to reduce the rate of low birth weight infants. Methods 287 live-born and gestational age not less than 28 weeks babies(ART group) in the first affiliated hospital of Zhengzhou university were studied from August 2012 to August 2014. All statistical analyses were performed with statistical software SPSS17.0, applied Chi-square test and Logistic regression analysis P<0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: 1. Univariate analysis showed that age, educate background, residence, pregnancy complications perinatal complications of patients who undergo ART, and gestational age, multiple birth of the neonates born of ART are closely related to low birth weight of offspring. 2.Multivariate analysis showed that multiple birth, intrapartum with eclampsia, production with premature rupture of membranes and gestational age less than 37 weeks have related to birth weight of offspring from ART, multiple birth(OR=3.225,95%CI=1.673~6.215), intrapartum with eclampsia(OR=9.156,95%CI=1.607~9.201), production with premature rupture of membranes( OR=2.294, 95 %CI=1.156 ~ 4.553), gestational age less than 37 weeks( OR=11.018, 95 %CI=5.044~24.066). 3.There are no difference in the type of ART and the birth weight of offspring. Conclusions: 1.Multiple birth, intrapartum with eclampsia, production with premature rupture of membranes and gestational age less than 37 weeks are the risk factors of low birth weight of offspring born of ART. 2.There are no difference in the type of ART and the birth weight of offspring.
