The Clinical Study Of Influence Of The Quality Of Life Xitongxiao Iontophoresis Combined With The Massage Method In The Treatment Of Knee Osteoarthritis

Objective:The aim of this study is to observe the influence of the patients’s quality of life,that were used with Xitongxiao iontophoresis and Votalin emulsion combined with the massage method as treatment for early and medium-term knee osteoarthritis.Methods:60 patients of early and medium-term osteoarthritis of the knee joint were randomly divided into two groups (each=30) in the study, experimental group (A group) were treated with xitongxiao iontophoresis combined with the tuina method, and the control group (B group) were treated with Votalin emulsion combined with the tuina method. Use xitongxiao iontophoresis and Votalin emulsion combined with the tuina method as treatment for sixty patients of knee osteoarthritis, five weeks a course. Analying retrospectively patients of two groups,WOMAC index score and SF-36 table was used to observe the change of the curative effect and improvement of quality of life and the level of cytokines (IL-1) of Synovial fluids was tested.The datas were compared with the methods of statistical analysis.Results:Sick knee and age and sex and and course of the disease and grade of X-ray were no difference in two groups by comparing with the methods of statistical analysis (P>0.05) Before the treatment,the score of WOMAC index score and quality of life and the level of cytokines (IL-1) of Synovial fluids were no difference in two groups by comparing with the methods of statistical analysis (P>0.05). After the treatment,the score of WOMAC index and quality of life(such as physical function, role physical,pain,general health,vitality,soeial function,emotional function, mental health dimension) and the level of cytokines (IL-1) of Synovial fluids are different significantly in two groups by comparing with the methods of statistical analysis (P＜0.01). After the treatment,the tindication of data is that score of pain and joint stiffness was no difference between the two groups (P>0.05).In improving the functional evaluation index,curative effect is better in the experimental group (P＜0.05);In improving the score of quality of life,the experimental the experimental group is superior to control group,with the exception of the score of pain (P＜0.05)。Conclusion:Xitongxiao iontophoresis combined with the tuina method is superior to Votalin emulsion combined with the tuina method at the improvement of quality of life of patients with early and medium-term knee osteoarthritis. Xitongxiao iontophoresis combined with the tuina method is effective and safe and simple one of methods of traditional Chinese medicine.
