ObjectiveTo study the effectiveness of enhanced external counterpulsation with Shexiang Baoxin Pill on patients of qi deficiency and blood stasis with acute myocardial infarction after percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), through observe the change of growth differentiation factor-15(GDF-15), interleukin 6(IL-6) and high Sensitivity C-Reactive Protein(Hs-CRP) with efficience evaluation in Chinese Medcine.MethodsThis study take case-control and self-control method,60 AMI patients of qi deficiency and blood stasis underwent PCI were selected. To categorize 60 patients into 2 groups at random:EECP with Shexiang Baoxin Pill (EECP+SXXBX) group(n=30) and control group(n=30). Conventional medical therapy was given to the both groups, EECP+SXBX group received additional one course of EECP and Shexiang Baoxin pill for 7 days. And Hs-CRP, IL-6 and GDF-15 of the blood from vein were monitored at 15 minutes before PCI and 3days,7days after PCI. Recorded clinical symptoms of before PCI and 7 days after PCI.ResultsThe concentration of Hs-CRP, IL-6 and GDF-15 of both groups before PCI was no statistical differences(P>0.05). After treatment, the concentration of Hs-CRP, IL-6 and GDF-15 of both groups of 3 days after PCI was different significantly from that of before PCI(P<0.05). The rise range of Hs-CRP, IL-6 and GDF-15 of EECP+SXBX group of 3 days after PCI was lower than the control group,the difference of preoperative and postoperative 3 days was different significantly (P<0.05). The decreased range of Hs-CRP, IL-6 and GDF-15 of EECP+SXBX group of 7 days after PCI was higher than the control group, the difference of preoperative and postoperative 7 days was different significantly (P<0.05). The number of excellent, effective, void and aggravate respectively were 7,19,3 and 1, in EECP+SXBX group. The number of excellent, effective, void and aggravate respectively were 2,12,13 and 3, in control group. EECP+SXBX group was different significantly from control(P<0.05)ConclusionPCI can cause vascular endothelial injury and inflammation. EECP can reduce vascular endothelial injury and inflammation after PCI with Shexiang Baoxin Pill. EECP can improve myocardial microcirculation, promote myocardial repair and cardiac rehabilitation with Shexiang Baoxin Pill.
