Serum Diamine Oxidase In Gastrointestinal Function And Condition To Evaluate The Role Of Severe Acute Pancreatitis

Objective Severe acute pancreatitis(Severe acute pancreatitis, SAP) is one of clinical common acute abdominal pain, although at present, the treatment of acute pancreatitis has standardized, but its still has high mortality.Around the late course, pancreas and pancreas secondary infection caused by multiple organ dysfunction(MODS) is the SAP of the main causes of death in patients with clinically.In any stage of the course of the disease, patients with SAP intestinal mucosal barrier function injury caused by intestinal bacteria and toxins shift is the pancreas and pancreas tissues around the main reasons of secondary infection.And serum Diamine oxidase(Diamine oxidase, DAO) is a highly active enzymes in the cell, it is located the vast majority of people in the intestinal mucosa epithelium villi, the determination of DAO activity in peripheral blood, can reflect the integrity of the intestinal mucosal barrier and damage.Therefore, this study proposed the serum level of DAO and gastrointestinal function in patients with SAP and severe degree of correlation analysis, reveals the in patients with severe acute pancreatitis(SAP) the role of condition evaluation.Methods Select 2012 January- December 2013, 56 cases treated by 3 d within the charge to hospitalized patients with SAP, on admission at the same time of routine inspection, then respectively to extract serum diamine oxidase(DAO) and serum calcitonin(PCT) specimens, and at the same time the corresponding patients with acute physiology and chronic health evaluation â…¡(APACHE â…¡), computed tomography(CT)severity index(CTSI) and gastrointestinal dysfunction rate.And then for data integration,the serum DAO and its correlation were analyzed.Results Through the determination of serum DAO, PCT, APACHE â…¡, CTSI and degree of grading, gastrointestinal dysfunction was found in hospital patients with SAP,the higher the level of serum DAO when gastrointestinal function, the worse is, the more severe the illness.And then analyzed data, found that the DAO and serum PCT,APACHE â…¡ score, CTIS scores, degree of gastrointestinal dysfunction score this four Spearman rank correlation coefficient(r = 0.516, p < 0.516 respectively),(r = 0.631, p <0.001),(r = 0.640, p < 0.001),(r = 0.730, p < 0.001), the serum DAO was significantly positively related with the four.Conclusion Our study showed that the serum DAO not only can fast accurate diagnosis and assessment of the intestinal barrier dysfunction in patients with SAP(IBD).And patients with predicted severe acute pancreatitis(SAP) disease infections, in evaluating the severity of disease in patients with SAP have certain effect.
