Objective:Analysis of the correlation of bone mineral density(BMD) and body composition at different parts in people at different ages. Methods:Collect people who came to the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University for health examination from March 2011 to November 2013.All the information of the subjects were recorded,including the basic information, such as age, height, body weight and calculated the body mass index(BMI).Using dualenergy X-ray absorptiometry(DEXA) to measure the subjects’ bone mineral density and body composition.By gender was divided into male and female group, each group is divided into 3 subgroups(30- 44 y,45- 59 y and 60-75y), rank and inspection application contrast between different subgroups differences in bone mineral density and body composition data;With linear regression and multiple stepwise regression analysis to analyze each part of body composition in every subgroup with corresponding to the correlation of bone mineral density.Results:1.Age was significantly inversely associated with BMD,and Significant positive relations were found between BMD and body weight or BMI in all groups.2.Male :the arms BMD were significantly positively associated with arms’ lean mass in all groups. The legs’ BMD were significantly positively associated with legs’ lean mass in the 30-44 y group and45-59 y group,but in 60-75 y group legs’ WA-FM was significantly inversely associated with legs’ BMD.The trunk BMD was closely related with weight and BMI.The total BMD was closely related with weight.3.Female:30 – 44 y group: Arms BMD and Arms lean massare closely related.Legs BMD and total lean mass are closely related.Trunk BMD had no correlation with various factors.Total BMD is closely related to body weight.45 – 59 y group: Arms BMD associated with Arms lean mass.Legs BMD is associated with weight.The trunk BMD and weight and ean mass are closely related.Total BMD and total lean mass are closely related.60-75 y group: arms BMD and total lean mass are closely related.Legs BMD and body fat rate are closely related.BMD and torso leans and the body fat rate are closely related.Total BMD and total lean mass are closely related. Conclusion:1. Male’s BMD and body weight, BMI, fat mass, lean mass were positively correlated.Weight is the main influence factors of the total BMD, and lean mass for the corresponding parts were the most important influence factors of BMD.2. The arms’ and total body’s WA-FM were significantly inversely associated with 60-75 y male’s legs BMD and total BMD.3.Women aged 30 to 59, the lean mass and weight were the main influence factors of BMD.And women aged 60-75,the total lean mass and total fat rate were the main influencing factors of BMD.
