abjective: By the related literature at home and abroad was reviewed,research in the serum of patients with various electrolyte has been reported about acute cranial cerebral injury.Such as there are different levels of analysis of magnesium in serum, serum potassium, serum phosphorus, but the serum zinc ions research is relatively little.The importance and necessity of it is for the further study in order to understand the relationship between acute cranial cerebral injury with zinc ion,.whether there is a certain correlation and the prognosis of patients with traumatic brain injury,and there is a prospective therapeutic. Methods :(1) by stratified random sampling method, 280 patients were admitted to hospital for traumatic brain injury, Glasgow score, divided into 4 groups: mild brain injury group(GCS l3 ~ 15, 70 cases), moderate brain injury group(GCS 9 ~ 12, 70 cases), severe brain injury group(GCS 6 ~ 8, in 70 cases),super severe brain injury group(GCS 3 ~ 5, 70 cases), and a control group(70 healthy subjects).1,3,5,7,9 days after injury respectively from the early morning fasting venous blood, zinc ion was detected.whether there is a correlation between brain trauma with the zinc ion concentration changes.(2) For severe and super severe brain injury group, a total of 140 cases of patients, based on serum zinc ion concentration groups at the time of admission,were divided into 3 groups: zinc ion concentration increased significantly, the zinc ion concentration was lower in group, zinc ionconcentration unchanged group.6 months after injury in each group according to the GOS score statistics the number of cases. whether there is a certain correlation between zinc ion concentration with prognosis for patients with traumatic brain injury, and whether there is a certain forward-looking. Results:(1)After 1, 3, 5, 7, 9 days, the serum zinc concentration in severe brain injury group and super severe brain injury group was significantly lower than that of moderate brain injury group, mild brain injury group and normal control group,a statistically significant difference between the groups of zinc ion concentration(P<0.05). Application of SPSS19.0 statistical software, all the data for statistical processing, show that for the severe brain injury group and super severe brain injury group.There is a correlation between the serum zinc concentration and GCS score, the higher concentration, the lower the GCS score and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05). And moderate brain injury group and mild brain injury group the serum zinc concentration and GCS score of little relevance(P>0.05).(2) In the super severe and severe brain injury group, a total of 140 cases of patients of tramatic brain injury of serum zinc concentration difference and GOS score standard after 6 months,the number of cases of statistical analysis, showed that with lower serum zinc ions,the prognosis is relatively poor after traumatic brain injury in patients. Conclusion :(1) For patients with severe and extra severe traumatic brain injury, there is a correlation between the concentration of zinc ions and GCS score, serum zinc ion concentration is low,the GCS score is relatively low.(2)On the patients with medium and above degree of traumaticbrain injury, early detection of serum zinc concentration and GOS scores of patients with traumatic brain injury correlation, more severe,serum zinc concentration is low, the prognosis is relatively poor;(3) The serum zinc concentration in patients with early severe traumatic brain injury in the determination and above, is of great significance to the prognosis of treatment and prediction of traumatic brain injury.
