| Objective: In designing, production, and trying the fixed denture on in clinical, it is often happened a phenomenal that called food impaction after restoration.This study was to investigated that to adjust the contact firmness of the adjacent surface to a bit tight, this method whether can reduce the incidence of food impaction or not. Methods: Doctors communicate with patients to understand the demands of the patients and expectations and make a diagnosis and treatment plan combining with the medical history and clinical examination results. Patients are required to sign the consent after the prognosis and risk informed.70 case were collected from March 2013 to September 2014 in prosthodontics department of the Affiliated Stomatologic Hospital of An Hui Medical University. Among them,10 cases were lost to follow-up, the actual cases were 160. The experimental group was 80 cases and the control group was 80 cases too. Among them, there are 71 males and 89 females, age ranges from 22 to 42 years old, the median age is 34. The difference between experimental group and control group in age and sex has no statistical significance. With the food impaction of the fixed restoration in molar as the research object. Using the orthodontic dynamometer and Arti-Fol metal foil(Dr. Jean Bausch Gmb H &Co. KG,Germany) to measure the tightness of the contact surface semiquantitative. We use the indication F on the orthodontic dynamometer and the number of lamina of the Arti-Fol metal foil to measure the tightness of the contact surface of the side is health that has no food impaction semi quantitative. In design, product, and try the fixed denture on in experimental group, design, to adjust the adjacent surface tightness to the orthodontic dynamometer readings to F, and the Arti-Fol metal foil bite paper layer was N – 1. Conventional method was used to adjust the fixed denture in control group. After 1 month, 6 months and 12 months follow-up respectively, the incidence of the food impaction in the two groups could be compared. Result: The follow-up data of 1 month showed that the difference between experimental group and control group in the incidence of food impaction has no statistical significance.And the follow-up data of 6 months and 12 months showed that the difference of experimental group and control group in the incidence of food impaction had some statistical significance.Conclusion: The method in this paper could reduce the incidence of food impaction after fixed restoration. |
