Background:The aim of this research was to study the effects and safety of Gingko biloba Extract combined with Aspirin and Cytidine Diphosphate Choline in the treatment of acute cerebral infarction. Methods:We prospectively studied acute cerebral infarction in an Emergency Department of Zhongshan Hospital,Fudan university from August 2013 till March 2014. Patients diagnosed as acute cerebral infarction were randomly divided into two groups. Control group took Bayaspirin Enteric-coated 100mg orally and cytidine diphosphate choline 500mg intravenously once a day for 14 days. While the test group received Gingko biloba Extract capsules combined with the medicine which used in the control group. The parameters measured during the study were admission diagnosis, age, gender, MESS score, Barthel Index, outcomes and hs-CRP levels.Results:1.The MESS score of 7th day in the test group is 9.39±7.93,which is lower than the onset day(11.04±7.70,p<0.01);and the score of 14th day in the test group is 9.00±7.65,which is more lower than the the onset day(p<0.01),contrast with the control group(12.28±9.02、11.52±8.73),the MESS score of 7th day and 14th day in the test group is lower, but no significant difference(p>0.05);2.The AMESS score of 7th and 14th day in the test group are improved, but contrast with control group, there is no significant difference(p>0.05);3.The Barthel index of 7th day in test group is 76.21±24.83,which is higher than the onset day(68.17±24.90,p<0.01),and the index of 14th day is 78.60±23.53,which is significantly higher than the onset day(p<0.01),contrast with the control group(65.66±31.14、67.19±31.12),the Barthel index of 7th and 14th day in test group is higher, but no significant difference.(p>0.05);4.The △Barthel index of 7th and 14th day in the test group are improved, but contrast with control group, there is no significant difference(p>0.05);5.The total effective rate of the test group(95.6%) is higher than the control group(80.9%,p<0.05);6.The hs-CRP level in both groups are lower than before, but there is no significant difference, the △hs-CRP of the test group is better than the control group, but no significant difference(p>0.05);7.During the treatment, there were no adverse reactions.acute liver or kidney injury,or coagulation abnormalities in the test group. Conclusion:The treatment of Gingko biloba Extract combined with Aspirin and Cytidine Diphosphate Choline in acute cerebral infarction is effective and safe.
