Objective:To investigate the relationship of the 5-lipoxygenase-activating (ALOX5AP) gene SG13S32 with ischemic stroke in Uygur of Xinjiang, and the analysis of the prognosis. Methods:select 197 uighur Patients with ischemic stroke and 200 uighur healthy controls in Xinjiang. The polymorphisms of the ALOX5AP gene SG13S32 were determined by using the PCR-restriction fragment length polymorphism technique. The case-control analysis was used to analyze the frequencies of genotypes and alleles.Statistical cases patients clinical data, the logistic stepwise regression analysis, obtained independent factors related to prognosis. Results:There were statistical differences in the distribution of genotypes of ALOX5AP gene AC between disease group and control group(P<0.05).It was decreased the risk of ischemic stroke(OR=5.27,95%CI: 2.75~11.73),there were no statistical differences between male and female in the disease group(P>0.05),there were no statistical differences between TOAST classification constituent ratio (P>0.05).The logistic of stepwise regression analysis found that Age,time and the effects of fibrin were independent prognostic factors in patients with Uygur ischemic stroke. Conclusion:The ALOX5AP gene SG13S32 polymorphisms was association with risk of ischemic stroke is significant in xinjiang Urgur population, It is increasing the risk of ischemic stroke. There were no different between male and female. And also no difference between TOAST classification constituent ratio.Affect xinjiang uygur independent risk factor for ischemic stroke short-term prognosis were age, time, and fibrinogen.
