Objective: To study the factors affecting long-term postoperative quality of lif e of oral cancer. Methods: From March 2009 to February 2011, 86 cases of tongu e neoplasm in Maxillofacial Surgery, the first teaching hospital of Xinjiang medical university were enrolled in our study. Patient QOL was evaluated using the Unive-r sity of Washington Quality of Life Questionnaire. Results: Smoking,T stage, N sta ge,tumor grade, radiotherapy, depth of invasion>8mm, locoregional recurrence after surgery can affect the quality of life of tongue neoplasm(P<0.05 or P<0.01). Con clu-sion: Different stage, tumor grade, radiotherapy and locoregional recurrence afte r surgery can affect the quality of life of tongue neoplasms.
