Objective Retrospective analysis of treatments of distal claviclefracture (Neer II) with clavicular hook plate and anatomic locking plateMethods Between September2011. and September2013.34patients ((male26, female8))with distal clavicle fracture were treated in AffiliatedHospital of Shandong University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.19cases weretreated with hook plate while15case with anatomic locking plate.Thecomplications were observed and the Constant-Murely and DASH scores were usedto evaluate the clinical outcome, and anterior-posterior view radiographswere performed to assess the bony healing.Results34patients (aged43.37±13.0) were followed up after a averagefollow-up time of10months (range3~23). We did not observe any severe intra-or post-operative complication within the time of follow-up. All patientsregained good or excellent shoulder function, the Constant-Murely and DASHscores of hook plate group were82.53±3.30(76~87)、5.58±1.56(1.10~8.50),while the anatomic locking plate were90.93±2.81(86~95)、3.38±0.94(1.3~4.7).Conclusion Both methods turned out to be a reliable methods providinggood results in the treatment of Neer II distal clavicle fractures, however, the anatomic locking plate is superior with a better function. |
