Open Reduction And Internal Fixation To Treat Terrible Triad Of The Elbow On Clinical Research

Object:To study the surgical treatment for terrible triad of the elbow effect.Method:From February2012to February2014, such cases were treated in ourhospital sixteen people, ten men, six women. Cause of injury: falls injuryeight people, injured four people in a car accident, falls four people.Surgery and the use of lateral elbow joint into the middle of the front sideof the road. This combined approach will not only be able to better protectthe radial nerve, median nerve, and can clearly reveal the radial headand coronoid. Sequentially from the lateral approach reset radial headfracture, repair the joint capsule, the lateral collateral ligament andthe common extensor tendon starting point; former medial approach resetcoronoid fractures, before repair of articular capsule. Radial head fracturesby Mason type, ulna coronoid fractures by Regan-Morrey classification linecorresponds to surgical methods. Postoperative elbow flexion90°, forearmin neutral position, limb hanging in the chest position;1week underwentelbow functional exercise.Results: All patients were Ⅰ wound healing and regularly followed up for4-9months. Obtained after6-20weeks of clinical fracture healing. Accordingto Mayo elbow score criteria: excellent in8cases, good in4cases,fairin2case,2poor.2case of heterotopic ossification, one case appearsstiff joints.Conclusions: Open reduction and internal fixation can significantly improve the patient’s elbow terrible triad elbow function and prognosis, therefore,should be recommended for surgical therapy of this disease.
