The relationship between HLA-G in cervical cancer andclinico-pathological characteristics prognosis of patients was analyzed.Results: The positive expression rate of HLA-G in cervical cancer was43.9%(43/98),while no positive expression (0/20) was found in normal tissues. Theexpression of HLA-G correlated with differentiation degree, lymphatic metastasis andvascular invasion (P<0.05), but no correlated with clinical stages, myometrialinvasion(P>0.05). High expression of HLA-G is related to poor prognosis ofpatients(P<0.05).Conclusion: Expression of HLA-G in cervical cancer tissues is significantly higherthan that in normal tissues. It is suggested that HLA-G molecule is closely related toimmune evasion and prognosis of patients.Part IICorrelation of the Changes of postoperative Peripheral LymphocyteCounts with the Prognosis of Early Cervical CancerObjective: To investigate the relationship between postoperative peripherallymphocyte counts and the prognosis of patients diagnosed as early cervical cancer.Methods: The patients diagnosed as clinically staged cervical cancer (Ib to IIA) inPLA General Hospital from2006to2012, who was treated by radical hysterectomy were retrospective reviewed. The relationship between peripheral lymphocyte countsand the disease-free survival and overall survival was analyzed.Results:222patients were included in this study. The median follow-up visit was53months with a range of6--89months. The peripheral lymphocyte counts decreasedsignificantly after surgery. Longer disease-free survival and higher overall survivalrate were observed in the patients with higher pre-operative peripheral lymphocytecounts (P<0.05). The patients who had increased or equal peripheral lymphocytecounts to pre-operative level showed significantly longer disease-free survival andoverall survival (P<0.05), but no significant difference was observed in the opensurgery group (P>0.05).Conclusion: Pre-operative peripheral lymphocyte counts and change of lymphocytecounts on post-operative day3could be regarded as important independent prognosticfactors of patients with cervical cancer. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Cervical Cancer, HLA-G, Lymphocyte Counts, Prognosis | | Related items |
