| Purpose: To explore the etiology and pathogenesis of ischemic stroke withsyndromes of stirring wind due to yin deficiency on the basis of TCM theory and toestablish therapeutic methods and apply medicine. To explore the mechanism ofYin-Nourishing and Wind-Extinguishing Granules by observing its effects on acute stageof ischemic stroke with syndromes of stirring wind due to yin deficiency according toclinical efficacy and statistical theory.Methods:60patients with acute stage of ischemic stroke with syndromes of stirringwind due to yin deficiency were randomly divided into a treatment group and a controlgroup,30in each group, according to the inclusion criteria. Conventional therapy wasapplied in control group; on the basis of conventional drug therapy,5g of Yin-Nourishingand Wind-Extinguishing Granules was given in treatment group3times a day, eachmorning, noon, and evening, by oral or nasal administration; efficacies of two groups wereevaluated14days after treatment.Results: TCM symptom scores, neurological deficit scores, inflammatory cytokinesand biochemical indicators after treatment in both groups showed significantimprovements compared with those before treatment (p<0.05), and the treatment groupwas better than the control group (p<0.05). Clinical efficacy and efficacy of TCMsymptoms in treatment group were better than those in control group (p<0.05). No obvious abnormality was observed in security outcome measures during treatment, and no adversereaction was observed in treatment group during treatment, suggesting that treatment onacute stage of ischemic stroke with syndromes of stirring wind due to yin deficiency withYin-Nourishing and Wind-Extinguishing Granules could be safe and effective.Conclusions: Yin-Nourishing and Wind-Extinguishing Granules could nourish yin,extinguish wind, and promote blood circulation to remove meridian obstruction. It couldsignificantly improve the mind, speech, body movement and other functions of patientswith acute stage of ischemic stroke with syndromes of stirring wind due to yin deficiency.And its synergistic effect with western medicine was safe and reliable, improving clinicalefficacy and patients’ quality of life, and further research and promotion will be needed. |
