As a foundation of theories of TCM, Canon attaches great importance to colour diagnosticmethod. It not only contains a variety of colour diagnostic methods, but also discussesthem from several aspects. As the important theory basis of clinical diagnosis andtreatment, Canon colour diagnostic theories have a great guiding significance. Therefore,tracing the source of colour diagnostic theories is the key of this theoretical study. Thisstudy mainly uses the method that combined literature research with theoretical discussion,and generalized the connotation, fundamental, application principle and classification. Italso discusses the application value of colour diagnosis methods, thus, constructing thesystem of Canon colour diagnostic theories systematically to make it developed deeply andguide the clinical practice.
