ObjectiveTo investigate the prevalence of fatty liver, detect major factors among theadults, compare the laboratory results of alcohol fatty liver and non-alcoholic fattyliver, then we could provide theoretical basis of health promotion strategies, whichmay be appropriate and effective.MethodWith the method of sampling, the ultrasonic diagnosis were used as thediagnostic criteria for fatty liver, the data of1363subjects were analyzed with thestatistical software to investigate the prevalence of fatty liver and analysis the status, that related to fatty liver, alcoholic fatty liver and nonalcoholic fatty liver.Results1.1363people took part in the survey, the result showed that the fatty liverprevalence rate was16.5%(28.5%in male and11.3%in female). The prevalence ofmale was obviously higher than females’(P <0.05).2. Among all subjects, we could see the situation that8.5%exhibitedsonographic evidence of hepatic steatosis, who were less than30years of age(male-27%and female-4%). The prevalence between31to40years old was19.4%(male-34%and female-11%). The rate among41-50years old was20.2%(male-31%and female-12%).The morbidity of51-60years old was27.0%(male-31%and female-24%).The sickness index of people over60was15.5%(male-12%and female-20%).(all P <0.05).3. Within the surveyed population, the level of BMI and WHR in the fatty livergroup,namely26.98±3.32and0.91±0.05, were both elevated, compared with 22.36±3.23and0.86±0.07,without fatty liver,.4. Compared with female, BMI (25.63±3.01&23.24±2.52)of male was bothrisen relatively, so was WHR(0.91±0.06&0.82±0.07)5. Alanine aminotransferase(ALT),r-glutamyl transferase(r-GT),uric acid (UA)and triglyceride(TG) in the hepatic steatosis group could rise evently, comparedwith those in the group without fatty liver(all P <0.05), which was statisticaldifference.6. Alanine aminotransferase(ALT), r-glut-amyl transferase(r-GT), uric acid(UA) and triglyceride(TG) in the nonalcoholic fatty liver group was comparativelyhigher than those in the group without fatty liver(all P less than0.05).7. The level of ALT, r-GT, BUN, UA and FBG increased in alcoholic liver, butTG, TC, LDL-C and HDL-C level made no difference.ConclusionsThe morbidity rate of fatty liver in the adults we surveyed is relatively lower, but the group of male is much higher than the people, who was normal in the ultrasoud. Body mass index and waist/hip ratio, which was different from male to female, they all significantly had correlations with fatty liver, that could be used ashazard prediction factors of this disease. Men between31and40year-old is much easier got fatty liver, in contrast with women, it is the age from51to60.The peak prevalence in people, who were surveyed, is30-60years old.The increased levels of ALT,r-GT,UA,TG are joint dangerous complements to fatty liver, alcoholic fatty liver, as far as non-alcoholic fatty liver disease.HDL-C may be the protective factor in non-alcoholic fatty liver disease. Fasting blood glucose (FBG) and blood urea nitrogen(BUN) could be the riskfactors of alcoholic fatty liver disease.
