Objective: By using three heating methods including microwave, agar melting machine and traditional water bath, we do a comparative experiment about the phosphate expansion of these heating methods for ager which added a certain amount of new ager and water. It will be verified the feasibility of prolong the service life of ager by the experiment. At last, we will choose the best way that can reduce processing costs and make sure the production quality as well. Provide the factories of theoretical basis for the rational reuse of used agar.Method: The experimental group choosing 6 inner cores of standard 10 ml glass syringes and divide them into groups A, B and C, each group with 2 inner cores. Stabilize them onto three plastic box which have holes in them with the same parallel distances, the inner cores should be keep in touch with the bottom of the box. Three same groups of agar melted by microwave method, water bath method and agar melting machine method, and into each of the three boxes. Put the 6 inner core syringes heading down into the box, and take the inner core syringes out after the agar getting cold. Mixing phosphate powder and distilled water according to the factories’ proportion, then put the phosphate into the agar molds. After 1 hour later, take the phosphate models out. Collecting all the remaining agar and weighing the agar, according to a certain proportion(1:8) to join new agar and water and to back to the original weight. Each group repeated the same experiment 20 times. Measure all the phosphate material mold samples by using the micrometer. compared the 1~20 times solidification phosphate sample expansion in each group and compared the phosphate sample expansion between the three groups. The control experiment using the same quality of agar, the agar melted by the same methods without adding new agar and water, each group repeated the experiment 20 times. Explore the difference of the phosphate model expansion between the experimental and control groups. The testing result will be analyzed by SPSS 19.0 statistics software.Result: The expansion rate of the phosphate model in the experimental group is much less than that of the control group. In the experimental groups, the three expansion rate of phosphate model have no statistics difference.Conclusion: It can prolong the agar number of use by adding a certain amount of the new ager and water to the used ager. And there is no obvious difference of the phosphate model expansion among the three kinds of heating methods.
