1.Objective:To observe the myocardial damage induced by LPS in endotoxemia mice; and to detect to the positive effect of shenxi capsule on myocardial and molecular mechanism, treating endotoxemia mice with shenxi capulse.2.Methods:The experimental mice were equally and randomly divided into control group, LPS group, shenxi group, shenxi+LPS group. The endotoxemia model was established by intraperitoneally injecting LPS. Mice in groups shenxi and shenxi+LPS were intragastrically administered with shenxi solution (0.75g/kg), while the same dose of normal saline were intragastrically administrated in control group and LPS group. The heart function was detected with echocardiography, and TNF-α, IL-1β, MDA, SOD in myocardial tissue was estimated 6 hours after LPS administration.3.Results:Compared with control group, LPS treatment results in decreased myocardial activities of SOD, and elevated levels of TNF-α, IL-1β, MDA (P<0.05); shenxi treatment improves the above aberrant indices. Compared with control group, LPS treatment result in reduced cardiac function, while shenxi treatment improve it.4.Conclusion:Shenxi shows a good cardio-protective effect on the cardiac injury in endotoxemic mice, by suppressing inflammatory infiltration and oxidative stress reaction.5.Significance:Shenxi capsules are special preparation of Jiangsu Province Hospital of TCM. Currently, Shenxi capsulesare mainly usedincancerchemotherapy, to reduce theirtoxicity response. We mainly discuss the the positive effect of shenxi capsule on myocardial and molecular mechanism, using mice modle, to renew the theoretical basis of ancillary clinical treatment of endotoxemia patient.
