| Objective:The treatment of malignant pleural effusion with external application of Jiedu Lishui paster combined with intrapleural injection of Lentinan, to observe the changes of pleural effusion, the quality of life of patients and peripheral blood interferon-y (INF-y) and interleukin 4 (IL-4) content, and to analysis the significance of external therapy of Traditional Chinese Medicine combined with intrapleural injection therapy in the treatment of malignant pleural effusion.Method:From 2013 June to 2014 June in Yangzhou Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine oncology,62 patients diagnosed with malignant pleural effusion were randomly divided into the control group and combination group. The control group was given intrapleural injection of Lentinan 2mg, once a week only; while the combination group was treated with Jiedu Lishui paster topical lOgbased on the control group, once a day. To observe the changes of pleural effusion, the quality of life of patients before and after treatment, and interferon y (INF-y) and interleukin 4 (IL-4)in peripheral blood were collected before treatment,2 weeks,4 weeks of treatment.Results:The total effective rate of the combination group were 84.37%,which were higher than 40.00% of the control group, in the aspects of improving the quality of life of the patients, the joint group was better than control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05). The levels of INF-y of the combination group after treatment were higher than before treatment and the levels of IL-4 decline. The extent of the changes were more obvious than those of control group, the differences were statistically significant (P<0.05).Conclusion:Both treatments can reduce pleural effusion, improve the quality of life for patients, reversing immune imbalance, but combination therapy occupies a greater advantage. |
