Study On Preparation Process,quality And Function Of Lycopene Microcapsules Tablets

There are some biological activities in lycopene: antioxidant, anti-fatigue, anti-aging, and so on. Dosage form of lycopene products is single and soft gelatin capsules is the main form. Tablets could meet multiple market due to it is as characterized by high security, simple process, many kinds of styles and tastes.However, lycopene is difficult to mix with some accessories in the process for it is fat-soluble and oxidized easily. In this paper, the effects of different wall materials on stability of lycopene microcapsules were discussed; preparation process was optimized; and the stability antioxidant and anti-fatigue activity of the tablets were evaluated. Specific results on these studies are the following:(1) The stability of lycopene microcapsulesStability of four lycopene microcapsules was observed under these conditions: the light, different temperatures, aerobic surroundings. The results showed the lycopene microcapsules reached highest stability when maltodextrin and gum arabic were materials.(2) The prescription process of lycopene microcapsules TabletsVariety of auxiliary materials and dosage of lycopene microcapsules tablet were selected according to the relevant index. And the optimal prescription was the following: Lycopene microcapsules(20.0%),microcrystalline cellulose(10.0%), maltodextrin(10.0%), lactose(20.0%), hydroxypropyl methyl cellulose(20.0%), 7.5%PVP aqueous solution(1.20 m L/100g), citricacid(1.0%), xylitol(2.0%), magnesium stearate(0.60%), aerosil(0.30%), talc(0.30%).(3)Response surface analysis methodology(RSM) was used for optimizing preparation process of lycopene microcapsules tabletsPreparation process of lycopene microcapsules tablets was optimized by response surface analysis methodology(RSM), and the results showed that predicted score of tablets was 9.90 which is near to the actual value(10.00) under the condition: tablets excipients diameter 0.27 mm, tablet weight 0.60 g, tablet excipients moisture content of 6.74%. Meanwhile, the results that the experimental value(10.00) and predicted value(9.90) were in good agreement demonstrated that the model made by RSM was reliable.(4) The quality test and stability of lycopene microcapsules tabletsQuality test indicators of prepared lycopene microcapsules tablets are in line with the "Chinese Pharmacopoeia" regulations; lycopene content was 11.59 mg which was measured by high-performance liquid chromatography(HPLC); the test results of stability for lycopene microcapsules showed that the product was of good stability in the circumstances: high temperature, high humidity, illumination and accelerated conditions.(5) Study on the function of antioxidant and anti-fatigue of lycopene microcapsules tablet in miceLycopene microcapsules tablet could improve the activity of superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase, total capacity of antioxidant and glycogen content significantly in mice. Besides, it could reduce serum malondialdehyde, serum lactate, urea nitrogen content significantly. The results showed that lycopene microcapsules tablet has the function of antioxidant and anti-fatigue.
