Objective To compare the efficiency and security of the balloondilatation versus amplatz dilatation in establishing percutaneousnephrolithotripsy standard channel, and explore the optimal method ofestablishing percutaneous nephrolithotripsy standard channel. Methods This study selected134patients of upper urinary tractcalculi from the Department of Urology in the First Hospital of JilinUniversity. These patients met the inclusion criteria of cases and weretreatmented by PCNL with Cybersonics Double-catheter system.134patients were divided into2groups: Group A was balloon dilatationgroup including91patients; Group B was amplatz dilatation groupincluding43patients. To compare the difference of the success rate offirst expansion, clearance rate of stone, duration of surgery (min), theamount of intraoperative hemorrhage, blood transfusion rate, total time ofpostoperative hospitalization(d) and the incidence of complications inGroup A and Group B. Making use of statistics method, enumeration datawere compared with the help of X2test and measurement data werecompared by means of LSD-T test, when P<0.05means significantdifference. Result In our study, there was a statistically better in Group Athan in Group B in terms of success rate of first exploration(97.80%vs88.32%, p<0.05), duration of operation(71.95±39.95min vs93.14±51.40min, p<0.05), the amount of intraoperative hemorrhage(91.76±78.44ml vs136.51±106.55ml, p<0.05), postoperativehospitalization (7.63±1.63d vs8.26±1.35d, p<0.05), blood transfusionrate and the incidence of complications(12.09%vs30.23%, p<0.05).Additionally, there was no statistically significant difference betweenGroup A and Group B in terms of stone-free rate (85.77%vs74.40%,p=0.111>0.05) and incidence of blood transfusion (2.2%vs4.88%,p=0.593>0.05).Conclusion1、The study, owing to statistical analysis, showed that there was astatistically better in the balloon dilatation than in the amplatz dilatation.2、Under the premise of higher preponderance in terms of stone-freerate, establishing the standard channel of PCNL through balloondilatation had shorter operation time, less bleeding, higher sucess rate offirst expansion, less postoperative complications and shorterpostoperative hospitalization.
