| Objective To explore the related studies about early glottic carcinoma treated by transoral CO2laser microsurgery, and compare with open surgical conservative approaches and radiotherapy.Methods36patients with early glottic carcinoma were treated by transoral CO2laser microsurgery from January2011and June2014in our hospital. The wound healing process, the complication of the surgery, the hospital stays, the cost, the oncologic and functional results were observed and discussed. We also collect the clinical data of early glottic carcinoma treated by open approach or radiotherapy. The hosipital stays, the cost and the oncologic results was compared. Results Transoral CO2laser microsurgery obtain the equal oncologic effect, less complications, good voice, shorter hospital stay and lower cost. The time of laryngeal mucous membrane stabilization from morphology aspect was93days on average (48-148days,91%less than120days).Conclusion The biopsy could be considered if the healing process longer than90days; The biopsy should be carry out actively if the healing process longer than120days. The transoral laser surgery could be a better choice for early glottic carcinoma because of good oncology, functional results and less cost. |
