Background:As the incidence of breast cancer is rising in recent years, diagnosis of breast cancer and lymph node metastasis seems particularly important. The nuclide imaging is a promising technology in malignant tumor inspection, such as the technology of BSGI detecting tumor positive imaging with99mTc-MIBI. Our study focuses on comparing BSGI detecting tumor positive imaging with99mTc-MIBI in the diagnosis of breast cancer and lymph node metastasis with conventional imaging examination.Patients and methods:We collect a total of70patients diagnosed with breast cancer of the Second Affiliated Hospital of Zhejiang University School of Medicine during May2012to February2015. All patients underwent BSGI detecting tumor positive imaging with99mTc-MIBI and conventional imaging examination. The results of postoperative or biopsy pathology are regarded as the gold standard, then we calculate the sensitivity, specificity of all imaging examination, which were used to assess the clinical value of BSGI detecting tumor positive imaging with Tc-MIBI in diagnosis of breast cancer. Result:The sensitivity of BSGI detecting tumor positive imaging with99mTc-MIBI in diagnosis of breast cancer is88.57%of this70cases, better than mammograms (67.21%), with statistical significance (P<0.05). While compared with ultrasound (85.71%) and MRI (96.97%), it has no obvious advantage (P>0.05). The sensitivity of BSGI detecting tumor positive imaging in the diagnosis of lymph node metastasis is35.48%, specificity is91.43%, better than MRI (sensitivity30.00%, specificity72.73%), but without statistical significance (P>0.05), and similar with ultrasound (sensitivity58.65%, specificity77.14%)(P>0.05). The positive rate of BSGI detecting tumor positive imaging in breast cancer lesions about2-5cm is higher than lesions below2cm, but without significant difference (P>0.05). The lesions pathologic status of ER and PR has no obvious relation with the positive rate (P>0.05).Conclusion:The BSGI detecting tumor positive imaging has clinical reference value in diagnosis of breast cancer, especially in the large lesions, but not in the diagnosis of lymph node metastasis ideally. The pathologic status of ER, PR have no obvious relationship with the positive rate.
