Objectives: To explore the Curative effects of open reduetion and internal fixation with Titanium cable tension band and Kirschner wire tension band in Treatment of patellar fracturesMethods: Recruiting information of 56 cases suffered from patella fracture in 2nd Hospital of Dalian Medical University during March 2013 to September 2014. All the cases are categorized into two groups according different treatments. Cases in group A was treated with The Hollow Headless screws with Titanium cable tension band, Cases in group B was treated with Kirschner wire tension band 。 Treatment of anti-detumescence postoperativemobilization and antibiotics are used in all the cases. Compare each group with parameters including the duration of operation, time span in hospital, and the time it takes to achieve an appreciate knee function postoperatively are been analyzed, Data was analyzed using PASW Statistics 13.0 with statistical significance set at a = 0.05.Results: During the six months’ follow up all the cases were achieved favorable outcomes of fracture cure in an average time of 8 to 12 weeks. The Bostman evaluation strategy of patella fracture are been used. In present study we analyzed all the mentioned parameters and evaluated the possibilities of the complications after the conduction of two different treatment strategies, preferable outcomes are showed in group A。Conclusions: Using The Hollow Headless screws with Titanium cable tension band as the solution of patella fracture provided more preferable results with easier performance, less time of operation and better future outcomes.
