Objective: The thesis reports clinical cases to evaluate the influence of two diffenent irrigants(2% chlorhexidine, 3%H2O2) on the push-out bond strength of an adhesive system used to cement quartz fiber posts to root dentin. So that it could provide the experimental basis for the irrigants used in clinical practice. Methods: Eighty cases of permanent teeth were included in this study, they were divided into experimental group(2% chlorhexidine) and control group(3%H2O2) randomly, each group had forty cases. All the chosed patients were healthy and they could cooperate with treatment. All teeth were strong. The endodontically-treated teeth with insufficient coronal tooth structure(<1.5mm) could not restoration with simple filled treatment.According to the X-ray, all teeth had complete root formations, root canal images were clear. Obvious absorption, severe bending and cracked tooth were not being selected as the object of study. After X-ray commonly, if the tooth had never accept root canal treatment, shaping the canal after perfect root canal therapy. If accepted,to ensure that the teeth had perfect root canal therapy and the patients didn’t have obvious symptom. Firstly, shaping the canal with the Finshing Drill corresponding to the selected post size;Secondly, tried in the post,to ensure that the post is properly seated in the canal.Shorten the post to its final length with a diamond disc outside the mouth. Then cleaned the post with alcohol and applied a single coat of primer to the post.Gently air dried the post and light-cured the post for 15 seconds.Lastly,Once the canal was prepared, applied 37% phosphoric acid in the post space and to the exposed dentin.Final irrigation was performed with the respective irrigant solution(5ml 2% chlorhexidine, 5ml 3%H2O2) for 1min.To ensure the needle into the pile bottom and repeated rinse for each group. After the excess water were removed with paper points, applied 2 coats of the primer with a thin brush in the post space.Removed excess using paper points and gently air dry all surfaces.Light-cured the primer inside the post for 20 s.Applied the cement in the post space from bottom to the top using the root canal tips.Seated the post immediately and removed the excess cement.Light-cured for 60 s.Contine applied the core build up using the cement. Then taken the postoperative radiotherapy. After tooth preparing, gingival displacement, made impression and weared the provisional crown, then made the complete crown. After the complete crown was made, try-in the definitive restoration, adjust it,polishing and cementation. At last asked the patients regular review. If the fiber post loss or broken, immediate follow-up.By recording the number of falling cases in a year, then using the statistical analysis to compare the loss rate of 2% chlorhexidine solution and 3%H2O2 solution. Results: Within one year, there was one loss of post retention in the experimental group, the loss occurrence rate of fiber post was 2.5%;but in the control group, six post lost, the loss occurrence rate of fiber post was 15%. Two groups of loss occurrence rate were significant(P < 0.05);Conclusions:During observation period in a year, compared to 3%H2O2 solution, 2% chlorhexidine rinse had a favorable effect on retention of posts cemented by resin cement.
