| Objective: To find out the incidence of Developmental Dysplasia of the Hip(DDH) in Shanghai changning and to investigate the value of ultrasound screening for DDH in neonates. Methods: Retrospective analysis was carried out from January 2009 to May 2014 in Shanghai Maternal and Child Health Hospital of changning district.50923 cases of 0-6 monthes old infants were examined.Bilateral hip joints were examined analyzed according to Graf method. Results: Ultrasound screening was carried out for three times(within 7 days after birth, 42 days and 4 months).A total of 50923 babies were tested.35348 cases included 70696 hip joints were analyzed for the first screening. There were normal hips in 40437 newborns(57.20%),unstable hips in 29755 newborns(42.09%),pathological hips in 504 newborns(0.71%).The second screening,A total of 22054 cases(44108 hip joints) were analyzed, there were 38649 normal hips(87.62%),2446 unstable hips(12.24%)and 62 pathological hips(0.14%).Out of 8734 infants(17468 hip joints)in the third screening, there were 17168 normal hips(98.28%),296 hips unstable(1.70%),4 hips dysplasia. There were significant difference between the right and the left. The detection rate of DDH in shanghai changning was 0.71%.The detection rate of DDH in female infants was significantly higher than in male infants. Conclusion:Ultrasonic Graf method can provide the basic data for incidence of DDH in infants in local region and may be helpful to offer the related standards for early screening the abnormalities of the hip joints. |
