From the beginning of the 1950 s, China began to implement the nationwide immunization program. And with the rapid development of our economy and the improvement of people’s living standard, the rate of vaccination reached the highest level in the history. However, with the rapid expansion of the scale of immunization program, vaccination incidents also showed a rising trend, which makes the public concerned about the vaccine quality and the safety of the cold chain logistics. This dissertation focuses on the research of the refrigerated transport in the vaccine cold chain logistics. Compared the differences between the vaccine transport and traditional refrigerated transport. Analyzed the risks in the vaccine immunization program transportation and the causes of them. Identified 4 key risks out of 22 risks according to the relationship between different transport modes and risks. By adjusting the transportation time, the packaging and the transport tools, 2 improving transportation measures were presented to the airfreight and highway transportation of the long haul transportation to avoid the key risks. Also the cost of the different long haul transport schemes were calculated and compared. Mainly for the time window and service time constraints, genetic algorithm was used in the route optimization of the short haul transportation. Calculated and compared the cost of the original and improved short haul transport schemes through case study. Finally, transport strategy was put forward according to the different types of enterprises.
