Correlation Analysis Between The Treatment Time In Emergency Department And Death In Patients With Multiple Trauma

Objective:To investigate the relationship between the treatment time in emergency department,ISS score,age,gender,injury factors and the death of patients with multiple trauma and to provide the foundation to supply the basis to use all kinds of clinical means to cut down the treatment time in emergency department as well as to improve the prognosis.Materials and Methods:Patients with multiple trauma recruited from emergency department from June 2013 to March 2014.A total of 121 patients were included.74 were male.The age was(35.5±11) years.The ISS, age, sex, cause of injury and the treatment time in emergency department,the death toll were measured respectively, Statistics and analysis of relevant data.Results: A total of 121 patients were included. the treatment time in emergency department was 64 minutes.The death was 28,and mortality was 23.1%.Patients with multiple trauma death has nothing to do with gender, age, injury factors; emergency room treatment time and the injury severity score(ISS) and multiple trauma patients death is associated, ISS score and emergency room treatment time has positive correlation; ISS score group of death group emergency room disposal time longer than non death group emergency room treatment time.Conclusion: 1. Age and gender, whether surgery, injury factors are not independent risk factors for prognosis of multiple trauma patients died;2.The emergency treatment time and ISS is an important risk factor of death in patients with multiple trauma3.The emergency treatment time and ISS of patients with multiple trauma were positively correlated.Patients with ISS score higher with longer emergency treatment time. 4. Effective treatment of patients within 60 minutes, has distinct effect to reduce the mortality the multiple trauma patients.
