Objective: To evaluate the clinical characteristics of the patients with positive acid fast bacilli of pulmonary tuberculosis, officering help in the clinical work for the timely diagnosis, clinical control of infection source, reduce the incidence of TB.Methods: The collection of General Hospital of Ningxia Medical University from January 2011 to December 2013 hospitalized after the discovery of acid fast bacilli positive patients with pulmonary tuberculosis in 100 cases, selected for acid fast bacilli of negative of admission clinical diagnosis of 100 cases of pulmonary tuberculosis as control. Analysis the two groups of patients with general information, clinical symptoms and signs, chest CT features, bronchoscopic findings and pathological changes place, erythrocyte sedimentation rate, CRP, PPD test results, summarizes its characteristics and changes.Result: The incidence of the man and woman ratio is 1.25:1, the average age is 56.32±17.64, ethnic distribution are dominated by Han, the main source of patients are local residents. Two groups of patients with clinical symptoms, course of disease, body mass index and its distribution are no significant difference(p>0.05), there is significant difference in the lung physical signs(p<0.05). Acid fast bacilli positive group patients with chest CT manifestations of effusion consolidation(81.0%), atelectasis(22.0%), cavity(15.0%), acid fast bacilli negative patients see more complicated with pl-eural effusion performance(41.0%). Acid fast bacilli positive group under fiberoptic bronchoscopy showed congestion of the mucosa(22.2%), lumen stenosis(61.9%), caseous change(12.7%) and intraluminal secretions(17.5%), necrosis(23.8%), and acid fast bacilli of negative of groups is anthracosis(56.9%), there is statistically significant difference(p<0.05). Acid fast bacilli positive group CRP(39.21±23.67) mg/L, erythrocyte sedimentation rate(45.48±23.73) mm/H, is higher than negative group CRP(23.29±28.29) mg/L, ESR(34.38±24.96) mm/H. The positive rate of PPD trial in acid fast bacilli positive group is 69.6%, higher than the negative group. Conclusion: 1. In positive acid fast bacilli and negative acid fast bacilli pulmonary tuberculosis patients, the overall male patients have more than female, most aged 50 years and older, probably because the body resistance of these patients decreased gradu-ally, the basis of multiple complications, more vulnerable to infection with mycobacter-ium tuberculosis. Farmers were most in the occupation distribution, majority patients were the Han, most patients were Ningxia local residents, there was no obvious regional difference.2. The clinical manifestations of the two groups were cough, expectoration, shortness of breath, chest tightness, chest pain, fever, fatigue.3. From lung auscultation there were rough breathing sound, smell and dry and wet rales change were more common in the positive acid fast bacilli group. And the negative group found auscultationno rales change more.4. The positive acid fast bacilli group chest CT manifestations were see more effusion consolidation, atelectasis, cavity, the negative group was malignantpleural effusion with change.5. The positive acid fast bacilli group under fiberoptic bronchoscopy showed mucosal hyperemia, luminal stenosis, caseous change and intraluminal secretions, necrosis, and the negative group was anthracosis.6. The CRP and ESR in two groups had a significant difference, may be associated with inflammation in patients with different degree of relevant change.
