Objective To discuss the clinical features and cause of death of patients undergoing off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting. Methods 1. A total of 437 patients undergoing off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting, admitted to our hospital, were chosen in our study.; 2. The risk factors of death conducted single factor analysis and logistic regression analysis. Related risk factors of death of patients undergoing off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting were analysed. Results 437 patients undergoing off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting were collected, 14 patients died, with a surgical mortality of 3.20%(14/437), the average age of died patients was 62.7±2.7, and the rate of male versus female was9:5. Single factor analysis of variance showed that the risk factors associated with death after operation were preoperative combined cerebral infarction, renal insufficiency, NYHA heart function classification ≥III level, combined tricuspid regurgitation, left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)<50%, and postoperative malignant arrhythmia(ventricular fibrillation), incision infection, postoperative pulmonary infection, low cardiac output syndrome, bridge vascular bleeding, kidney failure, respiratory failure, multiple organ failure. Logistic regression analyses indicated that the independent risk factors of death after operation were postoperative respiratory failure and LVEF<50%.Conclusions 1、Patients undergoing off-pump coronary artery bypass grafting that the risk factors associated with death after operation were preoperative combined cerebral infarction, renal insufficiency, NYHA heart function classification ≥III level, combined tricuspid regurgitation, left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF)<50%, and postoperative malignant arrhythmia(ventricular fibrillation), incision infection, postoperative pulmonary infection, low cardiac output syndrome, bridge vascular bleeding, kidney failure, respiratory failure, multiple organ failure. 2、For single center study, this study is subject to sample cases and sample composition etc., discussion is not comprehensive, still need long-term monitoring and validation.
