| [Background] Sudden cardiac death(SCD) refers to consciousness occurred within one hour after the onset of acute symptoms of sudden loss of natural death from cardiac causes characterized, It’s a challenges study to forensic pathology and also is one of the important issues in the practice of forensic case. In SCD cases, the vast majority of cases observed significant organic heart-related diseases, such as severe coronary artery stenosis, aortic dissection, rupture, dilated and hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and so on.Among them, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy(HCM) is recognized as a common genetic heart disease, the incidence in China is about 0.2%, the disease can occur in all ages, but the clinical manifestations is very heterogeneity, some cases are asymptomatic and severe cases can quickly progress to heart failure, and even sudden death, especially it is the primary cause of SCD in young people under the age of 35. Currently, with the deeper study of HCM genetic characteristics, clinical manifestations, prognosis and so on, but for the pathogenesis of HCM is unclea.[Objective] To study the expression of TGF-β isomer(TGFβ1, TGFβ2, TGFβ3) in myocardial tissue of patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy, in order to investigate the relationship with TGF-β isomer and HCM myocardial fibrosis.[Methods] The expression levels of TGFβ1, TGFβ2, TGFβ3 were detested in each myocardial tissue of 56 patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and 18 cases of healthy controls by immunohistochemisty, and were judged the results by using image analysis system.[Results] The average grey value of TGFβ1, TGFβ2, TGFβ3 results in patients with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy were 120.86±11.73, 122.98±9.55, 115.21 ±7.92;the average grey value of TGFβ1, TGFβ2, TGFβ3 results in healthy controls were 36.00±5.31,29.84±4.85, 29.92±6.80.The expression of TGFβ1, TGFβ2 and TGFβ3 in hypertrophic cardiomyopathy patients with cardiac muscle were higher than healthy control group, the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).[Conclusion] TGF-β isomer(TGFβ1, 2, 3,) in HCM plays an important role in the occurrence of myocardial fibrosis development. Maybe it can provide objective indicators to diagnosing hypertrophic cardiomyopathy for forensic pathology. |
