| Objective:To investigate the expression of thymic stromal lymphopoietin(TSLP), interleukin-13(IL-13) in various types of patients with allergic conjunctivitis, and try to clarify the role of TSLP and IL-13 in various types of allergic conjunctivitis. Methods:A prospective cohort study was designed. Select 20 patients(40 eyes)with vernal keratoconjunctivitis(VKC) from Shanxi Eye Hospital, 20 patients(40 eyes) with seasonal allergic conjunctivitis(SAC), 20 patients(40 eyes) with perennial allergic conjunctivitis(PAC),20 normal cases(40 eyes). All subjects have to do the following test: Perform immunohistochemical staining, fluorescence real-time quantitative PCR(real-time PCR), Luminex(Luminex) detection. Results:Through performing the Immunohistochemical staining, it is observed that there are dark brown particles in the conjunctival cells of patients with various types of allergic conjunctivitis, but there is no brown particles in the normal group. VKC group, SAC Group, PAC Group and normal control group TSLP m RNA and IL-13 m RNA relative gene expression levels were: 7.03±3.08, 3.49±1.74, 2.03±0.80, 1.00±0.00;6.44±0.66, 4.35±1.26, 2.39±0.86, 1.00±0.00. The expression of TSLP m RNA and IL-13 m RNA in VKC Group was significantly higher than that in SAC group and PAC group. Furthermore, the difference was statistically significant(all at P<0.05). The difference between SAC group and PAC group was also statistically significant(P<0.05). The test result of TSLP and IL-13 protein concentration in tears is indicated as: VKC group 48.91±7.45(pg/ml), 34.28±8.42(pg/ml); SAC group 24.63±2.43(pg/ml), 23.77±6.29(pg/ml); PAC group 22.19±2.72(pg/ml), 17.67±4.28(pg/ml), normal control group all at 0.00±0.00(pg/ml). TSLP and IL-13 concentration in VKC group was significantly higher than that in SAC group and PAC group(P <0.01), moreover the difference between SAC and PAC group was statistically significant(P <0.01). Conclusion:TSLP and IL-13 have expression in patients with various types of allergic conjunctivitis, and the expression of different types of allergic conjunctivitis have differences. |
