Objective:This paper mainly discusses the curative effect of optic nerve injury by endoscopic; The timing of the operation; The possible reasons for unsatisfactory.Methods:The objectes of study were 10 patients with optic nerve injury who were hospitalized in our hospital from May 2011 to January 2015 by methods of retrospective case review. This cohort of patients consisted of 7 males and 3 females from 17 to 55 years old, with an average age of 30.2 years and the gender ratio was 7:3. All the patients were unilateral damage, which involved six cases left and right eye involvement in four cases. By comparing before and after treatment with no light perception, visual acuity in patients with or without ipsilateral eye, and its follow-up after six months of vision therapy.Results:Ten patients were unilateral optic nerve damaged, and the optic nerve decompression surgery were successfully. There were no intraoperative and postoperative complications. The follow-up period was at least three monthes, and the total effective rate was 50.0%(5/10). We concluded that if performed the operation in 5 days after injury, the rate was 66.7%(4/6), and the rate was 25.0%(1/4) over the 5 days.Conclusion:Endoscopic treatment of optic nerve injury is a method with a clear operative area, minimally invasive, little blood loss, and no operative scars left. And can repair cerebrospinal fluid leak at the same period. The effect of post-operative surgical injury to the choice of surgical time interval that may have some relationship.
