Effect Of Th17 Related Cytokines On Patients With Myocarditis And Dilated Cardiomyopathy

Objective:Acute viral myocarditis(AVMC) and DILated cardiomyopathy(DCM) are diseases characterized by autoimmunity. The current study was designed to explore the roles of Th17 related cytokines on patients with AVMC and DCM.Methods:A total of 80 patients,including 22 AVMC and 58 DCM were enrolled for this study besides 21 healthy volunteers between Jan 1st 2012 and Oct 31 th 2014.Th17 related cytokines were measured in serum from all patients and healthy volunteers using Luminex Bio-Plex XMap technology.Results:1) The detection of cytokines in AVMC: ① the levels of plasma IL-1b were 19.17 fold compared with healthy vonlunteers(15.10±23.70pg/ml VS 0.7876±0.7777 pg/ml,P=0.01), IL-6 were 11.54 fold compared with healthy vonlunteers(62.67±93.13pg/ml VS 5.431±4.614 pg/ml,P=0.009), IL-17 A were 8.104 fold compared with healthy vonlunteers(94.65±121.5pg/ml VS 11.68±8.959pg/m,P=0.004), the levels of plasma s CD40 L were 2.781 fold compared with healthy vonlunteers(677.4 ±507.0pg/ml VS 677.4 ± 507.0 pg/ml,P=0.004); ② TNF- α,IFN- γ elevated markedly compared to those of healthy vonlunteers,there were 6.620 and5.290 fold than those in normal controls,wh ILe there was no significant difference; ③ the levels of other cytokines in AVMC were sim ILar to normal controls. 2) The detection of cytokines in DCM: ①the levels of plasma IL-6 were 23.23 fold compared with healthy vonlunteers(126.2±358.9pg/ml VS 5.431±4.614pg/ml,P=0.013), IL-1b were 10.38 fold compared with healthy vonlunteers(8.172±24.22pg/ml VS 0.7876±0.7777 pg/ml,P=0.024), IL-17 A were 9.923 fold compared with healthy vonlunteers(115.9±205.5pg/ml VS 11.68±8.959pg/ml,P<0.001),the levels of plasma s CD40 L were 2.31 fold compared with healthy vonlunteers(570.31±358.8pg/ml VS 677.4±507.0 pg/ml,P=0.002); ② TNF-α,IFN-γelevated markedly compared to those of healthy vonlunteers,there were 3.606 and 1.962 fold than those in normal controls,wh ILe there was no significant difference.;③ the levels of IL-22 had a significant decrease compared to healthy vonlunteers(13.34±19.55 pg/ml VS 40.11±31.72pg/ml(P<0.001);④other cytokines in DCM were sim ILar to normal controls.Conclusions:Th17 related cytokines involve in the pathogenesis of AVMC and DCM. IL-1b、IL-6、IL-17A、s CD40L、TNF-α、IFN-γmay play an important role in AVMC and DCM.
