Along with the rapid development of our national economy, residents dietary pattern and life style changes, changes in dietary patterns and way of life leads to the prevalence of chronic metabolic disease is rapidly increasing, the chronic metabolic disease is not completely cure, patients need lifelong sick to survive, to the government, society, enterprise, family and individual brought heavy economic burden and intangible losses, but also a serious impact on the quality of life of patients. Chronic metabolic disease is the result of the long-term effects of multi factors, including an unhealthy way of life is a most important link, therefore, is to reduce chronic metabolic disease occurrence and development, change unhealthy life style is the most economic and the most effective choice. Do a balanced diet and proper exercise, to the real life with good cognitive, have basic medical and health knowledge, have enough sleep, no bad habits, such as smoking, drinking, staying up late, is to ensure that the basic requirements of health. Although the lifestyle changes may seem very simple, but in reality, if there is no strong intervention measures, is often very difficult to achieve.The purpose of this study is to investigate nutrition, health education and behavioral intervention on health effects, effectively change the unhealthy life style of management and operation method of, for the future to carry out large-scale crowd lifestyle intervention to accumulate data.Methods From Xi’an of a state-owned enterprise employees 420 people as intervention objects, collecting basic information of the object of intervention, the general manager of the office of coordination of enterprises and trade unions, from 2012 June to 2013 July, for the promotion of nutrition and health education intervention on the object(Nutrition lectures on health, nutrition and health, make the reader written payment table healthy eating tips card) the staff canteen food raw materials procurement, intervention type and quantity of food processing and cooking methods, mandatory 3 times a week, through the sports system to change unhealthy habits such as nutritional intervention measures; with KAP designed respectively before and after intervention(KAP) questionnaire for nutrition and health survey, a comprehensive examination of health intervention object selection associated with diet and lifestyle indicators, using self-control method to evaluate the effect of intervention. Observe the changes and influential factors of the object, the scores of each dimension of KAP in study before and after intervention intervention; comparison before and after the intervention, the intervention object unhealthy behavior changes and physical examination and metabolic comprehensive syndrome related indicators and disease occurrence changes.Results Each score of KAP afte the intervention compared with those of before the intervention has increased significantly(P<0.01), the KAP score of women is generally better than those of men(P<0.01), education level has a significant effect on KAP scores, before intervention the degree is higher, the KAP score is higher(P<0.01), the trend became weakened after the intervention. Indices such as body weight, BMI andwaist circumference of the intervention object significantly decreased(P<0.01) after the intervention, obesity and overweight rate significantly reduced(P < 0.01); During the intervention, the consumption of food raw material in staff canteen was close to the recommended amount of Chinese dietary pagoda. The consumption of salt, cooking oil and red meat, especially cooking oil dropped by 17.7g/per day/person, and the consumption of vegetables, milk, and egg increased. The unhealth habit of intervention object, such as lack of exercise, smoking, drinking liquor, using sleeping pill and so on decreased significantly(P<0.01). The number of people that detection of metabolism related diseases such as dyslipidemia in physical examination, fatty liver, high blood sugar decreased significantly(P<0.01), especially the distribution of different level of fatty liver have taken place particularly notable changes(P<0.01). Compared with before intervention, the associated with the metabolic syndrome indicators after intervention have different degrees of change, the statistical analysis results are significant.Conclusion After 1 year of nutrition and health education and behavior intervention, the dietary pattern in Xi’an City workers in an enterprise, the nutrition KAP score, unhealthy behaviors have been significantly improved; chronic metabolic disease prevalence rate decreased significantly; the severity of the disease was improved. Anyway, after 1 year of health education and behavior intervention, the physical condition of the staff and workers of the enterprise has been significantly improved, we can get the following conclusions: nutrition and health education and behavioral intervention can promote health and reduce chronic metabolic disease occurrence and development.
