The human cardiovascular virtual reality system involves two main contents: one is reconstructing the standard digital model of human cardiovascular system and manufacturing the physical model(this model must be transparent, and can be volume produced) based on 3D printing technology, the other is developing cardiovascular virtual reality system based on the reconstructed digital model, to realize the exhibition of cardiovascular system and the virtual simulation of cardiovascular operation.The paper mainly studies the reverse modeling method of the standard digital model of the cardiovascular system and the manufacturing technology of the cardiovascular system physical model. The research of reverse modeling and manufacturing the model is to provide medical treatment and teaching intuitive information records, in order to facilitate the doctor operation plan, guide the students training, and communicate with patients. The importance and difficulties of the research are as follows:① The internal structure of the heart is complex, establishing the structure through traditional modeling method is difficult because of the huge workload.② In order to carry out the discussion of the operation scheme and to facilitate the communication between doctors and patients, the physical model should be transparent.③ The physical model needs to be batch produced.The main research jobs of the paper are as follows:① The reverse modeling of standard digital model of human cardiovascular system is carried out. Firstly, a general cardiac model is collected by Romer laser articulated arm measurement system, and its point clouds are obtained. Then, they are preprocessed with reverse engineering software Geomagic studio and Catia, and are fitted to surface. And then, the data is imported to UG software in order to processing surface. Finally, through communicating with the doctors, modifying and consummating the model, and the 3D digital model of the cardiovascular system is obtained.② The physical model of cardiovascular system is produced by 3D printing technology. Firstly, the STL format file is outputted by the 3D digital model of the cardiovascular system in UG software. Then, the physical models are fabricated by FDM melting deposition and SLS laser sintering. After comprising, the SLS method is determined to manufacture the physical model, and the process parameters are adjusted to improve the model’s strength through the test. Then, taking the model manufacturing by the SLS method as female model, the silicone mold is created through the rapid tooling manufacturing technology. Finally, the physical model is poured out with silica gel. This physical model is transparent, and it meets the requirement of mass production.
